Wholeness by Design: A Human Design Intensive

Human Design is a self discovery tool based on modern quantum physics meeting ancient wisdom traditions: the I'Ching; Astrology; the Kabbalah and the chakra system. It offers a blueprint (as unique as your thumbprint) to unlock your innate gifts, unveil your true nature and allow you to de-condition learned beliefs. See your own complexities. Learn your unique energy type, what holds you back and how to access your highest potential.

Human Design was developed in 1987 when its Founder Ra Uru Hu wrote the Rave I'Ching, the foundation upon which Human Design rests and the key to unlocking the code of our genetics. As the oldest of the Chinese classic texts, the I'Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient divination tool used for more than three thousand years. Our intensive, led by Amy Trujillo, combines BodyMind coaching principles, with Human Design and Gene Keys to not only better understand your SELF, but also how you relate to your partner, co-workers, children and the world at large. What is the contribution you are here to make?

Friday 6:00-900pm Orientation Includes: Tools for navigating your design and incorporating your type, strategy, authority, into a new authentic way of living.

Saturday 9:30-6:00 Deep Dive Includes: A comprehensive and advanced deep dive into your profile, gates, channels, lines, and Gene Key physiology. Discover what your purpose is and how you can best leverage your strengths while overcoming elements of your shadow and chronic pain.

Sunday Individual Consultation by appointment : A 1:1 personalized session with Amy where she will go over all the golden nuggets of your COMPREHENSIVE synthesized chart, unpacking the integral parts of your eternal spark and unique genius.

$375

About Amy:
Amy Trujillo is a spiritual renegade that feels most at home when she's immersed in nature, traveling around the globe, or has her nose in the latest book about herbal medicine, neurology, or self-healing. Think Dora the Explorer meets Hermione Granger. Her passion is to create a paradigm shift in the healthcare industry by helping others discover their innate wholeness. She is a BodyMind™ Master Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMBT NC #16330), Yoga Teacher (RYT-500), and the founder of ElementShifting.com.

Her work is centered around invoking huge shifts in others. Not just small steps towards greatness but big ones. Huge ones. It’s something that she experienced herself after a life-altering trauma and something that allows her to connect with others in a deep, meaningful, authentic way.

Amy spent 15 years in the U.S. Navy as an Information Warfare Officer and a Russian Linguist. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Russian Studies, is a certified Master Training Specialist with the Department of Defense and is currently pursuing an M.A in Health & Wellness Coaching with a concentration in Herbalism and a Post Bachelorette Degree in Ayurvedic Wellness at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

In 2017, she took 6 months off and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail with her partner in crime, Shane. When she's not leading hikes with Namaste in Nature or supporting her clients to shift into a balanced state of wholeness, you'll find her behind the microphone as host of the podcast Asheville Awake - a project dedicated to highlighting all the amazing people doing amazing things in the pretty cool town of Asheville, North Carolina.

What folks are saying about Amy:

“Amy is like a mind-body-soul anthropologist...reminding us of who we really are and delving through layers of story. She helped me see that I am not alone and we are all connected. Very gentle, yet passionately strong and generous with her work. A sincere desire to connect and uplift others. – Lylah M. (Georgia)

First off, [Amy} has one of the truest gifts of deep compassion and love of anyone I know. She helped me in so many ways...encouragement, growth, self-discovery, and helped me change my patterns during a time of transition. I have learned how to be true to myself. She combines bodywork with coaching to allow space for the body to relax, release, and heal itself, along with coaching to help clarify and identify a vision, ignite your passion, and discover true connections in a relationship and within yourself. More than I could have ever asked for. -Christy M. (North Carolina)

Meditation: Theory & Teaching with Yoganand [34 hrs]

Meditation: Theory & Teaching with Yoganand [34 hrs]

In ancient times, yoga schools had a rich meditation practice that has been lost in many modern traditions. Some yoga schools today turn to Buddhism for meditation if they teach it at all. This program will explore the many stages and techniques of yoga meditation.

We will start with the most ancient forms from which Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain meditation have sprung. After learning these techniques, we will explore how they can be incorporated into a modern practice and taught to our students.

This course is a requirement in the 300-hour Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts certification and/or meets Yoga Alliance continuing education criteria (34bYACEUs)

Yoganand Michael Carroll (E-RYT500) founded Pranakriya Yoga in 2005. He is a Master-Level teacher in the Kripalu Yoga tradition. Through many years of intensive study and practice of Swami Kripalu’s work, Yoganand gained the profound ability to distill and interpret esoteric yoga texts and techniques. After studying with Kripalu Yoga masters in India and America, Yoganand taught at the Kripalu Center for more than 15 years. He then founded Pranakriya Yoga, which he developed from the original teachings of Swami Kripalavandaji and reconfigured to meet the needs of Western yogis in today’s world without detracting from the ancient teachings.

Yoganand serves as the Founder and Dean of Curriculum for the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts, leads trainings and retreats around the country and world and works to keep the history of Tantric Hatha Yoga alive. Students will find that Yoganand teaches from a place of deep experience and learning and that he shares his understanding in ways that allow them to cultivate and experience greater vitality in their own lives. Yoganand is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT500 level teacher.

Universe Inside the Body: A Weekend Immersion in Chakras, Granthis and Nadis with Yoganand

Taught by Yoganand Michael Carroll, "The Universe Inside the Body of the Yogi: A Journey into the Chakras, Granthis and Nadis" unveils the metaphysical body and energetic anatomy. (20 hours)

Ancient texts of Hatha Yoga state that inside the body of the yogi are mountains, valleys, oceans, and rivers; the moon and stars move in that inner space.

When practice took ancient seekers deep inside, they encountered an amazing world beyond rational thought. They used symbols to map this inner journey and, over time, those symbols became the esoteric Chakras, Granthis, and Nadis of medieval Hatha Yoga.

Come and see what you find when you shine the light of Kriya, Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, and Mudra into your inner world and look closely through the eyes of meditation. Come and practice as the ancient yogis did, using Hatha Yoga rituals to remove the obstacles to inner experience.

Wholeness by Design: A Human Design approach to BodyMind Coaching

Human Design is a powerful synthesis of ancient and modern sciences: The I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, Hindu-Brahmin chakra system, and quantum physics. It provides simple tools, including a personalized body map, for how to be ourselves, and eliminate resistance in our lives.

Led by Asheville's Amy Trujillo, this workshop will help you uncover what makes you different from everyone else, and unleash your greatest potential.

Do you sometimes feel lost and out of touch with your true self. Who wouldn't? From the moment we come into this world, we're taught to be a certain way. What if all that conditioning has taken you further and further away from the original you? What if we all came with a blueprint that could help us unravel all the conditioning and negate the reasons you “should” be that – or ‘should” do this?

Bring on Human Design! Human Design is a rich self-compassion tool that is making waves all over the world. It's essentially a mash-up of Astrology, I-Ching, Kabbalah Tree of Life, and the Hindu Chakra System. It's the blueprint that is going to rock your world. Together with BodyMind® Coaching, this workshop will help you discover your sacred true nature.

Workshop Includes:

Chart reading & analysis of key elements (Completed prior to event).

Guided group meditation and yoga class to explore the 9 energy centers of Human Design. (*with yummy Thai Yoga Bodywork assists).

Amy’s unique and revolutionary presentation of Human Design- within the context of wholeness and embodiment.

Experiential group integration exercises to introduce the information provided in the chart into the subtle and emotional body.

Tools for navigating your chart and incorporating your strategy, authority, and profile, into a new authentic way of living.

Introduction to revolutionary BodyMind® coaching principles, that when combined with Human Design will teach you how to:

- Unlock the inner code that holds your truth and divine wisdom.

- Unravel old conditioning that has been blocking you from knowing yourself on a deeper level.

- Tap into the wisdom of your physical form and learn to hear the subtle whispers of the body.

- Stop apologizing for being your authentic self.

- Find clarity in unhealthy patterns and habits.

- Strengthen connections in all of your relationships.

- Find self-compassion and self-love again.

- Release inner judgments and limiting beliefs about who you "should be".

- Better understand the designs of your spouse, partner, or child.

- Unleash your authentic self to the world without shame or reservation.

A Midsummer Night's Dream: Yoga Nidra and Soundscape

Join Sonic Yogi Jonathan Adams and Yoga Therapist Amanda Trevelino for a dreamy practice that deeply resets the nervous system, releases physical and mental tension, and offers a journey though our consciousness.

Beginning with gentle movement, we'll progress through relaxed stillness to Yoga Nidra, the yoga of sleep. Over the course of this experience, brain waves move from the active, thoughtful beta waves (14-40 Hz), then pass through the relaxed, thoughtless state of alpha waves (9-13 Hz), and enter the slowest frequency of deep sleep, delta waves (1-3 Hz). All to carefully arranged live music by Sonic Yogi, designed to facilitate the “hypnagogic state”—the threshold between alpha and theta waves—the knife’s edge where the body “sleeps” while the mind is lucid. Here, the analytical mind is suspended, and subconscious memory or deeply held experiences my be processed and released, leaving the practitioner renewed and relaxed.

Designing and Leading Transformational Retreats (25CEUs) with Shiela Ewers

Join Sheila Ewers, E-RYT500, owner and founder of Johns Creek Yoga and Duluth Yoga Center,Yoga Teacher Trainer at both the 200 and 500 level, and leader of both local and international retreats for a weekend intensive exploring foundational principles of crafting transformative programming.

One of the most powerful ways to deepen a yoga practice is through more immersive experiences than one can gain from daily classes. In this workshop, you will learn:

- Principles of effective multimodal teaching to appeal to kinesthetic, audio and visual learners
- Ways to connect students to a communal experience and build sangha
- Effective use of dyads and triads
- How to create and energetic "arc" for longer programming
- The business considerations for leading a retreat
- Resources and Platforms for Hosting and marketing

We will spend Friday and Saturday at Johns Creek Yoga, then move to Santosha Studio for an immersive, retreat-like experience on Sunday.

Friday, 6-9 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm

This module is required for students participating in the RYS300 hour program, but is open to all.

Opening the Third Eye

Opening the Third Eye

Would you like to discover how to awaken and activate your Third Eye — and open up a richer, deeper understanding of reality and unimagined levels of insight, energy, and intuition?

For thousands of years, mystics, shamans, seers, and prophets from ancient Egypt, India, Asia and the Americas have used the power of the Third Eye to experience powerful intuition, enhanced abilities, mental clarity, and unimaginable bliss through accessing visionary states, expanded consciousness, higher dimensions and divine intelligence.

These mystics developed supernormal powers and abilities that mirrored the abilities of magicians, mentalists, healers and alchemists. Many used plant medicines to achieve these visionary states, which release the chemicals and deepen the brainwaves required for the brain to enter the altered states needed for the Third Eye to open.

It was in many Shamanic Cultures that mystics turned inwards and found ways to open the Third Eye – The Crystal Palace, without medicine. Instead, they approached this spiritual goal as a science and practice whose codes and techniques have been passed down to us through various forms of yoga, breath control, intense concentration, mantras, sacred geometries, and the inner alchemical practices.

By illuminating the pathway to easily, clearly, and reliably open the Third Eye, Jeff gives us access to a higher landscape once reserved for a select few spiritual initiates. Jeff will be sharing practices and, will use his abilities to activate and expand the Third Eye in each person. Space is limited to a small and intimate group.

 In this workshop:

— You will open up a portal into a vast, almost infinite reservoir of consciousness in the Universe and learn the secret of shutting down your day-to-day mind.  By opening your Third Eye, you create a gateway to infinite potentiality, where on the next in-breath you can literally redesign and reinvent your life through the light and universal information you receive.

— You will discover how to awaken the energy centers of your body, that, once brought into alignment, will allow the flow of visionary consciousness. You will be able to transform and transmute every element of your life and to heal at the deepest levels. In other words, you’ll discover a way to use the Third Eye to bring divine and intelligent light, information, energy, healing and bliss into every part of your biology and neurology  and energy anatomy— and in the process, align yourself to the flow of the Universal Mind.

— Once activated, you will discover an inner ability you never knew you had that is in resonance with the cosmic intelligence and will transform you in your everyday life. These discoveries will lead to increased wellbeing, intuition, creativity, energy, compassion, and bliss. You will discover how to act in the world of the seen and the unseen, while being protected by a golden energy shield around you.

— You will learn to awaken your deepest levels consciousness using breath, mantras, mudras, visualizations, and a deep energy transmission I will share with you.

Spiritual teacher Jeff Glattstein has traveled, researched and learned these techniques and codes in depth from the many Masters in Asia, India, Egypt and the Americas, and is revealing their secrets in Opening Your Third Eye – Activating Higher Consciousness and Intuition

Sound into Silence: A Meditative Daycation with Sonic Yogi

"If you want to find the secrets of the Universe think in term of energy, frequency, and vibration." - Nikola Tesla

This "daycation" retreat led by Jonathan Adams, aka Sonic Yogi, explores how frequency and vibration affect the way we think and feel. We will learn through direct experience, with time for extended meditations, and we'll share a high vibration vegetarian lunch catered by Happy Seed!

- Quiet the mind and release stress;

- Encourage alpha and theta brainwaves and right brain activity;

- Calibrate the body and mind for deeper states of meditation and awakening;

- Develop a greater awareness of this universal language of frequency that connects us all.

Practices include:

- Brainwave entrainment;

- Rhythmic breathing;

- As well as chanting and toning.

Description of Content:

Part 1:

Did you know that sound waves and brainwaves are both measured in hertz? In this session we will explore frequency and rhythm. We learn what frequency is and how it relates to our bodies and nature. We will also learn how frequency is measured and how it can be applicable to meditation and using sound as therapy.

Part 2:

In this session, we are going to take a further look in cycles of nature and how these may also relate to the cycles of the body. We will learn how becoming more conscious of the cycles within the body and in nature can assist in the process of relaxation, releasing stress and maintaining harmony.

Part 3:

In this session we will look more closely at the cycles of our brainwaves. We will also learn how brainwaves of various frequencies also relate to different states of consciousness. We will also explore how the random and repetitive nature of sound therapy may activate our right brain for states of deep relaxation, creativity and insight.

Part 4:

In this session we will learn about brainwave entrainment, and the various types of sonic entrainment that are commonly used to shift states of consciousness. The brain, the heart and the breath are all connected. These tools of entrainment can help to relax our entire body and create a new level of harmony. Building on what we learned about cycles in the previous lessons we will learn how listening to sonic entrainment can help to encourage more relaxed states of consciousness.

Part 5:

In this session we will learn methods and practices of creating and altering internal vibrations using the sounds of our own voice. In the previous lesson we learned how sound therapy can use outer vibrations to entrain, or synchronize the brainwaves for states of deeper relaxation. Today we will look further into how we can use our own internal vibrations, to affect the mind and body.

Part 6:

This lesson explores the role of the pineal gland for sleep, altered states of consciousness, and how sounds may affect this process. We will explore how sound may affect melatonin production and other mood calming neurotransmitters as well as supplements that can support this process.

Part 7:

In this session we will learn how conscious and unconscious mental patterns can also be stored in the body and how these can manifest in the form of stress or tension. Using sound consciously also seems to be able to vibrate these energies loose, resulting in a release of tension. The lesson will also cover a method for releasing stress while listening to sound therapy.

Part 8:

In previous lessons we learned about sound as it relates to our physiology, and as tool for accessing deeper layers of our consciousness. In this session we will learn more about using vibrational awareness to access optimal states in the present moment. We will learn about the superhighway of life force energy running through the body known as Chakras and how we can become more conscious of this ongoing energetic conversation between the body and mind.

Part 9:

In this session we will look at sacred sounds from around the globe, as well modern scientific study and uses of frequency and sound. Since the beginning of time we have used sound as a sacred and scientific tool for working with our emotions, a tool for finding states of relaxation, and as an offering of gratitude. We will also look at some key figures in the world of sound from ancient forefathers to recent pioneers.

Part 10:

In this session we will summarize the key points from the previous sessions. So far, we have learned how we can benefit from a deeper understanding of sound and frequency in order to: Quiet the mind and release stress, Encourage Alpha and Theta brainwaves and right brain activity as well as stimulate the vagus nerve and pineal gland and calibrate the body and mind for deep relaxation. We will also look at some ways that we can incorporate these ideas into our everyday meditation and stress release practices.

--------

Jonathan Adams (aka. Sonic Yogi) discovered sound as therapy after his experiences and recovery from anxiety. As a touring musician, he knew the power of music to move our emotions, but following this experience, he understood its potential as a healing force. Since then, he has used his intuition, experiences, and studies to explore the role of sound and music in the healing arts and create new ways for people to relax, enhance self-healing, self-awareness, focus and creativity.

Jon also frequently gives talks and workshops on sound therapy and wellness, which include appearances at TedX, National Spiritual Living Conference, GA State Social Workers Conference, Emory Wellness Center, Wigwam Wellness Festival and many more. In only a few years, his sound therapy tracks have received millions of plays online, and can be streamed on YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and the Insight Timer app. They are also used by Golds Gym nationally in their Centergy yoga classes. He continues to explore ways in which sound, as therapy, can help people to relax, de-stress, enjoy deeper meditations and FEEL GREAT!

World Wide Womb Blessing

World Wide Womb Blessing

Guided by Alana Saporiti, we will meet in sacred sisterhood. The Worldwide Womb Blessing is an initiation or an attunement, where energy is channelled to you. Women from all over the world participate at the the same time creating a web that connects all the women. In these connections we become channels for each other, and this means that more energy can pour through us into each other and into the Land and the World. Anyone can connect to the Divine Feminine energy, but this initiation or attunement is a direct process of connecting you to the goddess’s healing energy and presence, and deepening your connection to her. Many women will feel their awareness of the Goddess blossom with the Blessing as well as their awareness of her energies within themselves and their womb. This initiation will be supported by Clarity Breathwork guided by Sara Egert. Transformative and powerful, this circle is for you if you are looking to go deeper into your feminine wisdom!

Pranakriya Bhagavad Gita Training (300-hr)

Led by Yoganand Michael Carroll, "Understanding the Bhagavad Gita" is a 34-hour course toward 300-hour Professional Development Certification. The Bhagavad Gita is a 2,000 year old Sanskrit text that offers profound insight into the deeper practices of yoga. As the seeker in the Gita metaphorically prepares for the battle of spiritual transformation, he asks his teacher a series of questions. In his answers the teacher explains the many challenges and stages of the yogic spiritual path. In this program we will explore themes from the Bhagavad Gita that are meaningful for us as modern yoga practitioners.

Required text: The Bhagavad Gita, by Winthrop Sargeant.

Cost: $650.
Earlybird: $500 by November 25.

Yoganand founded Pranakriya Yoga in 2005. He is a Master-Level teacher in the Kripalu Yoga tradition. Through many years of intensive study and practice of Swami Kripalu’s work, Yoganand has gained a profound ability to distill and interpret esoteric yoga texts and techniques.
After studying with Kripalu Yoga masters in India and America, Yoganand taught at the Kripalu Center for more than 15 years before founding Pranakriya Yoga, which he developed from the original teachings of Swami Kripalavandaji and reconfigured to meet the needs of Western yogis in today’s world without taking away from the ancient teachings.
